Andrea Karin Nelson is a writer, developmental editor, educator, and theater artist. As a playwright and solo performer, her work has been commissioned and produced around the country. Her short fiction has been published in 34thParallel Magazine, and she’s thrilled to be a part of the inaugural group of writers for the new Collections Live Magazine at Hugo House. She’s currently writing a middle-grade fantasy novel about a girl who discovers her Tourette’s gives her superpowers. Andrea  is the founder of Allegory Editing, where she works with writers to develop and polish their work and pursue their publication goals. 

Andrea is also a  certified Sign Language interpreter, avid gardener and cook, yogi, and reader of all the things. She makes her home in Seattle, Washington with her wonderful husband and two exuberant children.
